Development of 1000 HP Twin Turbo Kit w/ BW 7163 EFR Indy Car Turbos

For the past year has been in development of the worlds first Borg Warner EFR based 7163 (Indy Car) turbocharger kit for the 2JZGTE. We selected the Borg Warner EFR Series for it’s incredible technology (billet compressors, Ti Beta Turbines, Dual Water Cooled Ceramic Ball Bearing Assemblies, integrated boost and blow off valve control systems, V-band mounting) and more…

Utilizing our ProSeries stainless manifold with dual v-band turbo mounts and dual v-band wastegate mounts for our TurboSmart 40mm gates (smallest footprint and highest heat capacity units in the market) and built from there. The end result is a dual 3″ downpipe feeding into a single 4″ stainless work of art collector with it’s own 4″ diameter v-band mount which feeds into a customers exhaust of choice.

Designed to look amazing, perform incredibly well on the top end, with a very power mid-range torque curve, we believe we’ve hit the nail on the head. Our Borg Warner 7163 2JZ kit also includes dual compressor speed sensors, which measure compressor wheel speed to produce the first of kits kind ‘live data compressor map’. It also allows us to monitor wheel speed which can contribute to boost leak determination.

All of these signals are fed into a ProEFI 128 engine management system, which can activate an engine safety mechanism (fuel cut) when over spinning the compressors. It’s been quite an journey and currently we’re sitting at 900bhp at 29 psi of boost with another 10-12psi to map.

The kit is available as simply as just a manifold purchase, all the way to a complete turnkey assembly.
